NPR has a fascinating and entertaining look at what goes into a processed burger. None of the ingredients look TOO bad, but it’s the fact that it’s not pure, not just ground beef, that is disturbing. It’s the fact that they put in caramel flavoring to replicate flame that is saddening. Topping all that off is the additive used to make these guys shelf stable.
